The artworks of the series Happiness Before Civilization are focusing on the original concept of innocence present in every child in their childhood. The first love letter, the first unmentionable desires or the first self-portrait are here reproduced through hand-sewn sequins on canvas.
The reflections of light upon them are giving a fascinating magical status to these artworks. Originally associated with concept of truth, the light elevates the childish drawings to the status of pure messages with no bias due to education or mental structures of society.
The artist connects this moment in the life of every one of us to an original status of happiness, pure happiness due to the lack of rules or preconceived education.
